CBG began in 1976 as a mini blinds company located in downtown Los Angeles. With a focus on producing products of lasting quality that exceeded customer expectations, we quickly became a recognized brand sold nationally through independent dealers, paint and wallpaper stores, and home centers.
In 1992, CBG was acquired by Hunter Douglas. With the backing of our new parent powerhouse, we became Alta Window Fashions, offering an expanded collection of high-quality products like shutters, wood blinds, honeycomb shades, and more through an independent dealer network. CBG’s growth continued as we added Enlightened Style, a brand designed specifically for Budget Blinds franchisees. Today, both brands are available in the U.S. and Canada.
